KallehTwussy Bear
I am reading "Anywhere But Here" by Mona Simpson, and I am stuck by her use of "twussy bear". The girl in the book talks about her grandmother always using the phrase "twussy bear", and she never knew what it meant. I couldn't find it in Google or Onelook. Has anyone heard that phrase before?

jerry thomasI never heard of twussy bear
But I have heard of Fuzzy-Wuzzy.
As in ...
Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, was he?

KallehThe only context was as above. The girl was reminiscing and made this passing comment about her grandmother: "But oh the things she says. Twussy bear. Now what is a twussy bear?"
That's it. Perhaps it is nothing. I did think Bear might know, though!
Jerry, I do remember Fuzzy Wuzzy. I used to love that!

Algy had a bear
The bear was bulgy
The bulge was Algy...
Not my own, unfortunately!
