KallehIndeed
I recently used the word "indeed" in a comment on my Facebook, and then I began to wonder...have I ever really said, "indeed?" I don't think so. Yet, I use it in writing all the time. I asked Shu if he has ever used "indeed" in conversation, and he agreed that he only uses it in writing, but not when he talks.
How about you? Are there other words like that?

bethree5It sounds too bookish or pedantic to me for casual speech, but that's probably because I never hear it. Indeed, I will gladly take it up if you'll join me, Kalleh

GeoffCertes and verily, I shall indeed do likewise. Being a pedant, I often use it.

<Proofreader>And I shall continue to ceaselessly say, "Yes, indeedy."

KallehWell, Bethree, I'll take you up on it.

It sounds pedantic to me, as well, but I see that we are in the minority with that. I was a bit surprised.
