What do the various initials affixed to movie makers mean? I see CSA, ASC, and a bunch of others connected to the crews of movies. What do the various acronyms mean?

I guessed immediately that CSA didn't mean Child Support Agency which is what it means in the UK and which chases separated parents who don't pay the maintenace payments for their kids. Google told me that it means they are a member of the Casting Society of America which is not a superhero team but an organisation for film directors. Similarly the ASC is not the Dutch Aquaculture Stewardshio Council but rather the American Society of Cinematographers a professional organisation for them. I don't know which other initialisms you have seen but I'd bet that they are similar professional organisations for other technical staff on a movie.

Oh. Why couldn't I find that on a Google search??? I ended up with Confederate States of America for CSA! I think Google's messing with me.
