We seem to be slow recently. I know that sites ebb and flow, and this may just be an ebb period. However, I might be missing something. Thoughts, Wordcrafters? Is something wrong that I am not aware of? Can we help in any way?

Maybe we need something new here. Suggestions?

I can only speak for myself of course, but I have noticed others in the same boat as myself. That is, a self-employed person who is having to double my work to maintain a level of business lower than last year's best. I only see people in education; for us, September is when all ducks have to be in a row. Many have been scrambling because enrollment is down (private schools, preschools, daycares), which is related presumably to unemployment. The effect on me personally & my tiny 1/2-time business has been that it took a full month longer to get all my classes registered up & running-- just this week finally got the last two started.

You do sound busy! Perhaps that's all it is, I don't know. I do appreciate your response, and we have missed you around here.

I've never been the greatest topic starter but I shall redouble my efforts to find interesting things to raise on the board. It's half term this week so I shall try to start at least a topic a day.

I do think you're an excellent topic starter. However, sometimes what happens to the topic has nothing to do with what it's about. Sometimes people miss topics that should have taken off. Other times, topics that you'd never expect to, take off like wildfire. It's hard to tell.
