I've contacted T-mobile who so far can't find a problem. They have suggested that I go into a T-Mobile store and try my modem with another laptop and another modem with my laptop. I'll probably try that tomorrow.

And as ever I probably won't see this message once I've posted it so don't be surprised if I don't answer any of your replies.

And now I'm trying to reproduce the error and gather more data for them it isn't doing it although an hour ago in the shop it did it consistently every time regardless of which modem I used.
