If you read Bob's Facebook, you saw that he wrote about absolute vs. relative risk, related to the research that has been released about red meat being associated with colorectal cancer. Here is an article that puts it all into perspective, like Bob did.

What amazed me was that by scaring people in England and Wales about birth control being related to thrombosis, more cases of thromboses resulted. An estimated 13,000 additional abortions occurred - and, ironically, more thrombosis cases because being pregnant or having an abortion is more likely to bring on a thrombosis than birth control pills. Duh!
