I tried to find an old thread that we had started where we can share them. I couldn't find it, so let's start a new one.

Have you heard of fragging, meaning to kill or injure one's superior? I hadn't.

Its origin is from Vietmam when soldiers, who felt their commanders had put them in harm's way, settled grievances with a fragmentation (thus, "fragging") grenade or a bullet. Apparently in Vietman there were 600 fragging incidents, killing 82 Americans and injuring 651.
There was a short blurb about this in the Chicago Tribune today, citing the Armed Forces Journal. They added this, under "History": "Pennsylvania soldiers in the Continental Army killed one of their captains during the American Revolution."

Yes, I've heard of it. Not sure if I first ran across it in the newspaper or in a movie. Must've been in the '70s, though.
