I've never liked the term "virtual reality," on the belief that "reality" ought not take modifiers. Is there a better term we can use, in the direction of "virtuality," only more euphonious?

This word would then describe stories with a loose grip on reality, such as:
Blue Velvet
Cockroach
Existenz
From Beyond
Harsh Realm
Matrix
Naked Lunch
Oz
Total Recall
V. R. Troopers
Videodrome
Virtuosity
Zeiramu
