Some of you may remember when a lot of our old discussions centered around beer. I recall multiple mentions of a brew pub called the Olde Swan but more commonly known as Ma Pardoes. It is a famous and wonderful pub in Netherton. And as proof that England is finished it may be forced to close after 180 years of trading because of rising costs. Rates (a kind of property tax), heating and power costs and so on. It will be a sad day if it closes. How did England come to such a pass?

Well first I am astonished that complaints about Ma Pardoes are so widespread. Second, we don't have a choice at the moment about changing our politicians. The last election was three years ago and put Boris in power but we can't force another for another two years as the timing is up to the party in power who can, if they choose serve for five years and they would be insane to call it early as they would be wiped out completely to an extent where they would never recover. This message has been edited. Changes of leader within the party are not put to the people. As I have commented elsewhere the new leader Rishi Sunak has been elected by just the 193 members of the Conservative Government who chose him instead of Penny Mordaunt or the return of Boris and as the new party leader he is automatically the new Prime Minister.
