Sorry, jo! I had a hospital appointment yesterday and had no sleep the night before, so for the past couple of days I haven't even looked at the birthday list. I forgot to wear a daffodil too yesterday.

Happy Birthday anyway - I hope it was a good one.

I forget everybody's except mine and cat's, and I only remember cat's because it's the day after mine.

Happy unbirthday jo.

(This year I managed to forget my brother's birthday. When I rang him up to say sorry his reply was "About bloody time, too!" Mind you I was over three weeks late making the call.)

Darn! I knew there was something important that I was neglecting yesterday. We hope you had a good one, jo, even without our expressed good wishes.

Actually it was a very good birthday. We went out of town briefly and had a wonderful meal, free hotel room, and I won a huge pot at poker.

A good way to celebrate

I'm sorry I forgot your birthday, Jo! Did you have a cake? Since my birthday is in July, I always get the excuse that it was "too hot" to bake a cake. Frown Anyway, hope it was happy!!!!!

Jo,
Happy Belated Birthday! You are a day ahead of Dr. Seuss, whom we celebrated at school today.. and I'm sure you are fewer than his 101 years, if he were still alive...

Enjoy your huge pot! Smile

Oh, Jo, I am so sorry! This sometimes happens in this birthday thread, and please no one should take offense.

Oh how did we miss our Jo's day?
We really are sorry, okay?
Let's lift up our glass
And toast this sweet lass!
The happiest birthday, we say!

Please forgive, Jo?

Whew! No more birthdays in March, but in April we begin to heat up.

No need for the self flagellation.
My cake was a huge conflagration.
The gifts were quite sparse,
But I did park my arse
At a party, a fine celebration!

Hmmm, I don't know how you found that information. I only found that Montenegro adopted new state symbols including a new red flag bearing King Nikola's coat of arms on July 12, 2004. Roll Eyes As my kids would say, BFD!

I do know, though, that Shu happens to share a birthday with William Shakespeare...not too shabby!

We do not know when Shagsberd was born, but we do have a dated record of his baptism. Let's see: it's me, Johannes Kepler, Jacob Bernoulli, Louis Pasteur, Sydney Greenstreet, Michel Piccoli, Marlene Dietrich, Oscar Levant, Thea von Harbou (i.e., Mrs Fritz Lang), and Gérard Depardieu. Typed without pride or distain.

Lol - thanks Jerry. I hardly know anyone from that list - I don't know whether that says something about them or me! But then, it means that as far as I'm concerned I'm the most celebré person on the list Big Grin.

"Nobody ever died of laughter." But I went very faint after having hysterics while relating an anecdote to a friend in the pub yesterday. Mind you, I was still slightly hungover...

This is a day early, but I would like to wish the best to my very sweet husband, Shufitz. Honey, have a happy birthday, and I wrote you a limerick (based on fact, actually). I know that L5 isn't much good, but, gosh, how many words rhyme with Lawrence and Florence? Usually when I get stumped I ask Shu, but I couldn't this time. Any suggestions for L5 will be happily accepted because I really like LL 1-4.

The story is that Shu's mom had planned for months to name him "Lawrence"...until her roommate in the hospital named her child "Lawrence," and it seems that Lawrence looked very much like a monkey! Big Grin

His mom almost named her son "Lawrence"
(Which would have been better than Florence!)
But she thought the name "Larry"
Would conjure up "fairy,"
Or the view that he's hideous OR dense!

Happy Birthday, Shu!

Thank you to you all, with the biggest of warm grins to you.

Per your question, KHC, I received something I've long coveted: a digital camera. And have engaged in an orgy of activity. Once the technology is mastered, you'll see as my avatar a picture of a lady I dearly love and cherish.

As to further birthday gifts from my spouse, I shall discretely speak no further. But perhaps you can glean an answer form the fact that your question was copied in blue. Wink
