I ran across this article about The Pun Also Rises, a new book by John Pollack that is a history of wordplay in the English language. Has anyone seen it yet? I have not, but the article makes me interested in the book.

Rahter than a history of puns, the excerpt seemd to be a study in narcissism.

And I wonder why the Amazon page didn't include a portion of the book to be examined before purchase. Sort of like buying something sight unseen.

From the article, it looks good, CW. It probably is worth the $13.

Yes, well, I don't buy too many books. I'll reserve it at the L and give it a gander.
