Seems the English language is a-growin' and Shakespalin is the one doing it:
quote:
"Refudiate," "misunderestimate," "wee-wee'd up." English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celbrate it! (link)
Never knew that she was a conservative descriptivist.

As a bleeding-heart liberal, I have to love it. However, she has made something clearer to me. Her ridiculous use of words makes me realize why sometimes prescriptivists over-react. "Misunderestimate?" "Refudiate?" The new "Bard on Avon?" It's enough to drive one to prescriptivism!
