I just read this in a library newsletter:
quote:
In 1943, Princeton University decided to publish the complete papers of Thomas Jefferson. Compiling his notes and letters in chronological order and publishing them in bound volumes, the Papers of Thomas Jefferson project is up to Jefferson's 1801 inauguration, with eight years of his presidency and 25 years of his life still ahead. The publisher says the project won't wrap up until perhaps 2026, taking 83 years, which is as long as Jefferson lived. Wall Street Journal, March 15, 2005.

Can you imagine all that writing, saving and storing? If someone was going to publish all of YOUR writing - how many volumes would it take?

I think my writing could take up a lot of space, being as verbose as I am . . . but finding it all would be a Herculean feat! I think most of it has become gravel in the gutter of the information highway.
