Give or take a few diacritical marks... Yes, you guessed it, an edition of Alice In Wonderland in Maori. (Last day here. Doing things like shopping and getting my torn trousers mended so nothing very exciting to report. Except that book of course. That's exciting. To me anyway.)This message has been edited. I would not have guessed it. What was your clue?

My clue was when I asked the nice lady in the shop if they had any unusual editions of AiW and she said, "We have one in Maori." "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

Would NOT getting your trousers mended have been exciting?

It would for the people watching me walk around with my bits hanging out. "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

Bob, just so you know, whenever I go into a rare bookstore, I always look for a rare (and reasonable) Alice book for you.
