I just came across an interesting not-so-new book: Brave New Words:The Oxford Dictionary of Science Fiction. I'm finding it very interesting, especially the fan-created words. Hmmmm... "Fafiate" sounds like the British expression, "faff about." Also, faffs were strange beasties on the old Beany and Cecil puppet show prior to its becoming a cartoon show. The Wikipedia article fails to mention them. It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. -J. Krishnamurti

I've already returned the book to the library, but it was fun to browse, as Z said. I bet your library has it, too. ******* "Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions. ~Dalai Lama
