As I was reading through my copy of The Poetry of Staffordshire I suddenly realised that my contribution was one of only two rhyming poems in a collection of 50 pieces. The other one was a dialect poem by Margery Selby. On the other hand I can now say that I have had a poem published in an anthology that also includes the Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy. If anyone wants to buy it (only one of mine in it, but lots of other great stuff) you can get it direct from the publisher at http://www.offaspress.co.uk/shop/This message has been edited. I am going to buy it! We both know that someone, we all know and love (is that phrase common in the UK? It is here) would have a conniption fit about only two rhyming poems. Heck, he probably wouldn't call them poems. And, that brings us back to what is art? | |||
