I just spoke to someone who interviewed a prospective employee and said she refuses to hire her because she used "over" instead of "more than" in her letter of application. If I apply for a job, I'll have to remember the peevers!

Interestingly, just today one of my Facebook friends from the Washington Post Style Invitational posted something similar:

When I get up in the morning and read "Edgar Allen Poe" or "dermitology" or "fewer than $69.95," I just want to climb right upstairs and crawl back into bed.

It would take a bit more than that for me.

Well, I thought it was interesting, but I guess no one else did.
