That's your word. PASTINACEOUS

I'll take PMs for a few days. Please don't send it to me email, because I've been having problems with forgetting and deleting stuff lately. Frown

C'mon folks... I've only got three daffynitions. Are you telling me you all know this word?

So here we go with the daffynitions. Better vote soon because I'm about to leave for Oregon on a house hunting trip.

1. Stubborn; highly opinionated.

2. Wary; shy of strangers.

3. Having to do with parsnips.

4. Having a creamy or smooth texture.

5. Sticky.

6. Of a highly critical or judgmental nature.

7. Shaped like a horse's leg.

8. Chronically late.

9. Sanctimonious; given to hubris.

And the answers are...

1. Stubborn; highly opinionated.

Made up by your favorite crafty old Iowan. Guessed by no one.

2. Wary; shy of strangers.

Made up by everyone's favorite Chicagoan, the lovely Kalleh. Sadly no one was suckered in by this great daffynition.

3. Having to do with parsnips.

The real deal. NO ONE GUESSED. NOT EVEN ARNIE! NEENER NEENER NEENER. LOL

4. Having a creamy or smooth texture. Conjured up by Caterwauller, who managed to fool both Hab and the Tinman who obviously are putting way too much bad for you butter and/or cream on their pasta.

5. Sticky. Provided by both Bob and Asa -- sorry guys, I was just over my head in work and forgot to ask one of you for a different daffynition. My bad. Frown

Guessed by Kalleh, who obviously has made pasta and knows it is sticky unless drowned in very bad for you tons of butter and/or cream.

6. Of a highly critical or judgmental nature. Also provided by that crafty old Iowan, since I didn't think there were enough daffynitions. Obviously I'm crafty enough to have snookered the redoubtable Mr. Hale.

7. Shaped like a horse's leg. Provided by Arnie, who was apparently thinking pasterns, as was CW who got trapped in Arnie's pasture.

8. Chronically late. Me again; fooling no one.

9. Sanctimonious; given to hubris.[/QUOTE] And at the last moment, I decided to provide still another daffynition, thus laying an enticing snare for none other than ARNIE! Sorry, Arnie. Can't help it. The day I fool you is a red letter day.
