Sure, but you know that anything involving "fun in the afternoon" is going to be interpreted as an Asa definition. Red Face Big Grin

Here are the daffynitionns for your consideration, and the real one somewhere in there...

1. A small town in rural Pennsylvania.

2. An inability to have 'forward intercourse' i.e. not face down.

3. The inability to divide; used in botany.

4. Medical: an abnormal inability to focus one's attention.

5. Psychiatric: Abnormal prudity; results in inability to be nude even around one's spouse.

6. A curse disguised as a toast.

7. A musical round in six parts in which the overlapping six melodies combine to form a seventh hidden melody.

8. A mutation in which a person has six fingers on one or both hands.

9. The practice of counting in sixes.

10. Argument in which logic is not used or is ignored.

If I took number six, could I have butter and marmelade on my toast, please?

No?

OK then I'll take 9 for want of something butter better.

I think it's either 3 or 4, so I'll take both. OK, I can't do that, so I'll take 3 1/2. No? Oh, heck, 3 then despite arnie.

And finally, the results:

1. A small town in rural Pennsylvania. Cat offered up this geographical fantasy that fooled no one.

2. An inability to have 'forward intercourse' i.e. not face down. Amazingly enough this was not Asa, but Pearce. Still no one dallied with this idea.

3. The inability to divide; used in botany. Asa, failing to listen to his own inner wisdom, got swallowed by this flytrap, offered up by Kalleh.

4. Medical: an abnormal inability to focus one's attention. Arnie of course got it right, as did Pearce and Caterwauller. Oh Look! A chicken...

5. Psychiatric: Abnormal prudity; results in inability to be nude even around one's spouse. Jo, wanting to be clever, offered up this tantalizing... oh look! A chicken.

6. A curse disguised as a toast. Asa fooled no one but drank the toast anyway.

7. A musical round in six parts in which the overlapping six melodies combine to form a seventh hidden melody. Wordmatic got caught up in the melody of Bob Hale's harmonious daffynition.

8. A mutation in which a person has six fingers on one or both hands. Wordmatic offered this variation of polydactyly.

9. The practice of counting in sixes. Arnie trapped Bob Hale in a stack of six butter and jelly sandwiches.

10. Argument in which logic is not used or is ignored. Written by Asa, the lack of logic took in our Kalleh
