I'm currently having a week away in west Devon with the family. Tavistock, actually - remember that impossible limerick game of yesterdecade? Anyway, thought I'd pick somewhere local-ish. On our way to Tintagel from Tavistock a few years back, we got a little lost, but I was able to find exactly where we were when we went past a sign that said "Welcome to Splatt" and found the village on the map. After some time, a lot of confusion and careful examinations of the crease, it turned out we had still been lost all that time because I was looking at the wrong one of two Splatts in Cornwall. Here is all the information anyone needs to know about Splatt. Get writin'! ------------------------ If your rhubarb is forwards, bend it backwards.

It reminds me of that nursery rhyme about Jack Sprat: Jack Sprat could eat no fat, His wife could eat no lean; And so between them both, you see, They licked the platter clean. I'll get one to you soon. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kalleh,

I love the link's descriptor of location: "between Pityme and Rock"...

Four limericks in so far, plus one forthcoming from Kalleh! Any more? ------------------------ If your rhubarb is forwards, bend it backwards.

Still only have the four! This one's been going on a bit but it's probably better to leave it longer if more are going to come in. ------------------------ If your rhubarb is forwards, bend it backwards.

If Bob didn't get one in before departing for his brief holiday I would wait until he returns. Perhaps this might be inspiring to some: http://books.google.com/books?...at%20McManus&f=false

Got 9 now so will post the poll this evening. If any more inspiration strikes, let it be before then! ------------------------ If your rhubarb is forwards, bend it backwards.
