We seem to do best with the simple names.

[size:14]RYE[/size]

...a city in New York, also a town of the same name. There was a village of that name too until 1942, making it apparently (at least according to Wikipedia) the youngest City in the USA. It's just a few miles to the Northeast, in Westchester County.

Have a good time! (It's also home to Playland, or at least was in the late 1940s, an amusement park close to the Bronx, where I grew up.)

(Although I'm not really sure we've said everything we have to say about Rhyl yet...)

Thanks for taking on the too-daunting (for me) task of hosting this "Realy big shew!"

It's also a rather lovely English town in East Sussex, just a short drive along the coast from where my brother lives.

You're invited to write about RYE
So far nobody has; don't know why.
Make everyone happy;
Just write something snappy.
I'm sure that you can if you try! Smile

I'm working on it but my muse has died. It was Rhea Pearlman, but she's dead. I tried getting Sarah Silverman but she refused. Maybe I'll try Marjorie Taylor Green. She's pretty funny in a scary kind of way.

Try Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, Rebel Wilson or Jennifer Hudson. They were all in Cats so any one of them could be your mews.

"I'm told that if you multiply
A diameter and a Greek pi,
You've outlined a circle!"
Said Angela Merkel.
(That's quite unrelated to Rye.)

I'm sitting here wondering why
The inbox is running so dry.
The entries are lacking.
C'mon, folks, get cracking!
There's lots of words rhyming with "Rye"!

We're getting up to a respectable number of entries now. Kalleh? Shu? Tinman? Anyone else have two cents to put in?
