SURCULIGEROUS Definitions: 1. people whose appetite is never satisfied; they never experience the feeling of being "full". This often spills over into a need to take things which do not belong to them, in order to satisfy their cravings. 2. a humerous word coined from the words secular (surcular in dialect) and religious. It was originally used to describe a holiday, such as Christmas, that is both a secular and a religious holiday. Now days it is often applied to people who profess to be religious but whose actions indicate otherwise: "He's a right surculigerous cuss." (Right in this sense means "very," and is commonly used in Southern U.S. dialect, often pronounced "rat.") Some etymologists think surculigerous is a corruption of sacrilegious. 3. Relating to one who is grumpy; a curmudgeon. 4. A habit where sexually mature dogs lick their reproductive organs. 5. Given to mounting a woman from the rear. 6. Producing suckers. 7. Carrying upon the hindquarters. 8. a theological term refering to arguments which encompass philosophical tenets from other religions used to support a particular theory or article of faith. 9. obsolete medical term, meaning "above the anus"; once used to refer to the inflammation near the coccyx now referred to as a "pilonidal cyst" OK everyone! I sure hope I got them all! I almost forgot to slip the real one in there! Vote by the end of Friday! ******* "Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions. ~Dalai Lama

I went for 3 last time and was wrong. I expect it's still wrong, but I might as well stick to my guns. Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

I'll take 6, too (though I'd feel more secure if the word had been "epaxillary" or eqauivalent...)

Well the "sur cul" part would suggest both 7 and 9; 6 sounds like it could be a trick as "surcu" sounds a bit like "sucker"; I want it to be 2 but the defintion's a bit long, and 8 also alludes to the fact that the word sounds a bit like 'religious'. None of which are really reasons for them to be wrong, so as I really have no idea I'll go for... 6, and join the other suckers
