Thanks for your casting vote. It must have been hard for you to vote against your own extremely clever limerick. I didn't vote either, simply because I would have voted for yours but I wanted mine to be the winner, so given Bethree's comment you really should have won by 2 votes without having to make a casting vote. I'm feeling guilty now. My wife hated my limerick, but on the other hand it was one of the few of mine over the years that actually make her laugh, so that has to make it one of my better ones.

I will come up with another location very soon. I'm tossing up between something I haven't thought of yet, or a couple of Victorian coastal beach towns, one being "Indented Head" , the other being "Venus Bay" both of which offer some interesting rhyming options. If anyone wants to state a preference for either of those two, drop a comment to that effect here.

Yes, Alphie's was clever, and I liked yours, too, Greg. Yet, I voted for Bob's. This one was fun, and, Alphie, you did a wonderful job hosting this round so the cringing wasn't necessary.

Ah, it wasn't that hard. Viewed subjectively, I thought mine was quite amusing, but yours genuinely made me laugh out loud. I look forward to our trip to the seaside.

Kalleh, thank you for your kind words, but I kept people waiting, not once, but twice and had to be prodded into action. Definitely better if the next round is hosted by someone a bit more on the ball I think.

If I can't write a limerick myself for a multi-syllable town, that has Line 1, 2 & 5 rhymes with more than one of those syllables, I'm reluctant to choose it even though the mere notion of a place being called "Indented Head" made me want to use it, but I've gone with the safer option and set the new game at "Venus Bay".
