Pronunciation guide - it is an English place name and would rhyme with “let ‘em” or “get ‘em” etc
You can try Las Vegas if you wish but I tried it and couldn’t do it
"No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.
Member so far just one limerick on Vegas and none for Streatham.

Member With the site's change in format I missed seeing this new word. I'll try to write something.
Member Did I miss something? I don’t see anything different in the format except for that one missing forum…
Member Anything and everything confuses me, Hab!
Member Only non-‘em rhyme I can come up with is the Civil War battle site Antietam.
Member Then use ‘em rhymes, there are dozens of those
"No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.
Member So far I have precisely zero limericks.
Bob asked folks for limericks on Streatham
Where most of the rhymes end in "et 'em"
Much later he sighed
"No one's even tried,
Well if they want to forget 'em, I'll let 'em."

Member I'm trying. Many folks tell me that.

Member Did you see mine from last week? No, not that one, the other one.
Member Given that the only other limerick posted has been withdrawn either your Streatham or Las Vegas limerick is currently a certain winner as they are the only ones received.
"No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.
Member 27 days and one limerick. I’ll give it another decade and declare a winner.
"No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.
Member I'll try again, but no guarantees. The rhyme in the one I deleted wias too obscure.
Member For those still thinking it’s too hard to rhyme...
Bet ‘em
Get ‘em
Let ‘em
Met ‘em
Net ‘em
Pet ‘em
Set ‘em
Wet ‘em
Vet ‘em
Forget ‘em
Beset ‘em
Reset ‘em
Abet ‘em
Etc etc etc

Member You could even try "Sir or Madam" with an affected British accent
