YOO HOO! Now that I have your attention, I did NOT choose this word. I'm getting PMs from folks who I think should be writing to CW. Or is it that you know that I know what the word means? As if...

Anymore daffynitions? I've heard from Arnie, Kalleh, Asa, Hab and Jo.

I offer the following definitions for your consideration:

MERDIVOROUS

1. Belonging or pertaining to the Merdivae family of rodents, which are indigenous to a coastal region of the Soviet Union.

2. Taking back a lie; recanting.

3. Being obsessed with mer-people.

4. Dung-eating.

5. Thoroughly despicable and unpleasant.

6. (adj.) consuming exclusively foods derived from the ocean

7. Of, or pertaining to the Merdovici, a Gothic noble family absorbed through intermarriage during the reign of Charlemagne into the Bourbon family.

8. Extremely pleasing or successful; fabulous.

9. Melodious

I'll go for four as well please - though not of course in a literal sense.

It's a bunch of highly successful, though despicable coprophagic seafaring Goths who sing melodiously. No wonder they were absorbed into the Bourbon dynasty - they had to drink lots of bourbon to wash that stuff down!
