Here are the daffynitions for olamic:
  1. Spurious, counterfeit
  2. Adj.: Oils used as a base in room deodorizers. Similar to esters, olamic oils bond with scent and prolong the life of solid deodorizers.
  3. Of or pertaining to an acid
  4. everlasting, eternal
  5. name of a 19-carbon mono-unstaurated fatty acid; also called "11-nonadecenoic acid"
  6. softness on the bottoms of the feet
  7. A term refering to an archaelogical period in South American history. Olamic pottery was decorated with inlaid slivers of multicolored stone.

Let the guessing begin! Smile

I'm torn between 4 and 1, the others all look like red herrings to me.

I'll try 4.

I'm guessing it's either an oil or an acid, so I'll pick the oil, # 2. So it's probably 7.

I don't know, Asa, but I hate change! It reminds me of a chocolate bar, and I just want to eat it! Wink

I will choose number 4, and, yes, I had already decided that before I saw the other posts. Besides, if you look at my dismal record, you've got to know that I don't cheat at this game!

Alright, Bob, I will refrain. Wink

Another thing I hate about it is that there is black, white, that sickly yellow, that chocolate brown (though one could describe it as something else!), and that bright blue (which I have always loved). How many colors can one forum have?

Here are the results for olamic:
  1. Spurious, counterfeit
    Suggested by Kalleh, fooled Caterwauller
  2. Adj.: Oils used as a base in room deodorizers. Similar to esters, olamic oils bond with scent and prolong the life of solid deodorizers.
Suggested by Quiltin' Fool, fooled tinman
  3. Of or pertaining to an acid
    Suggested by Asa, fooled no-one
  4. everlasting, eternal
The real thing. Guessed by almost everyone Frown
BobHale, haberdasher, LoriL, Quiltin' Fool, and Kalleh!

  5. name of a 19-carbon mono-unstaurated fatty acid; also called "11-nonadecenoic acid"

It looks like that one was too easy!
