What is 'COW'S GRASS"? Send ne your definitions.
<Proofreader> |
Anyone want to play. It'snot nice to ignore a sick person.

Sick? Are you using the teenage slang meaning or the old one? Cow's grass? It's not politically correct to provide the definition. Sorry.

I shall cogitate. "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

I hope that's not a deviant sexual behavior.
<Proofreader> |
I retreat from the world when` I cogitate. Cogitation is great, there is no debate. It brings peace of mind. Thus I use it. You’ll find, that I cogitate best when I masturbate.

That's not "cogitate," that's "sologitate."

Based on all the news here in the USA of late, boys will be girls too,

My favorite was when some legislature, or whatever, wanted people carrying their birth certificates into the bathrooms.

Just sent you some Cow's Grass "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

It's North Carolina where people have to use the bathroom of the sex they had at birth - hence the birth certificate requirement. And of course the craziest thing about that is that if someone has had gender-reassignment surgery then, regardless of what you think about the whole idea, if it was successful they now physically have their new sex not their old one and so are being forced to use the bathroom where they are most out of place. It isn't a way to protect anyone, it's a way to humiliate someone who has done something you disapprove of. "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

And what people don't remember is that gender reassignment also means significant hormones so they much more look like their new gender than their old one.

I'm getting the feeling, as I talk about this with people, that men are more uncomfortable with this than women are, though one might suspect it would be the opposite.

I have only one objection to unisex bathrooms and while it is a practical concern I admit it's rather self-serving. Because men don't sit down to pee we don't need separate stalls to do it in. This is the main reason why there are always queues for the women's bathrooms and never queues for the men's. Unisex bathrooms would have to, as a matter of decency be all stalls and therefor we would have to join the queues. Otherwise, I have no problem and am not in the least bit uncomfortable with the idea. This message has been edited. Last edited by: BobHale, "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Here are the entries defining cow's grass. Make your choice. 1. A vegetarian dish with greens and melted cheese. 2. A medieval measurement detailing the acreage sufficient to support one cow. 3. In the porn industry, a term describing a woman’s pubic area. 4. Kiester, backside, rump, derriere, whatever term suits your fancy at the moment; from Cockney rhyming slang: "cow's grASS" = ASS. 5. Tansy. It makes cows sick, but also makes them hallucinate. Never stay in the same pen with a hallucinating Holstein! 6. 1920s and 30s slang for an ill-fitting wig. 7. A biennial plant with a bitter taste, related to the carrot

Hmm. One of mine is missing but I'll take a guess at number 1. "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

I checked Bob's and I seem to have lost one in the transfer. Sorry.

Sorry, I totally forgot to think of an entry this time. I'll try 7 as no-one has yet voted for it. Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

7 sounds good to me, too. Even before I knew it was arnie's choice.

Then seven it is! Even if it wasn't before, it is now!

<Proofreader> |
I don’t know how Arnie does it, picking out the correct answer. But this time he’s wrong and not even close. Therefore, everyone can guess again.

OK, fine. Since I didn't see #2 the first time I'll guess it this time. It's the only one that makes sense.

I also liked #2 best, but I had the feeling there was some other word for that, not 'cow's grass'. So I didn't vote.

Given that 7 has already been outed as wrong I feel I can tell you that it sounds so convincing because it's actually the definition of a plant called Cow Parsley. This message has been edited. Last edited by: BobHale, "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

I am late to this party - but I am going to choose 7, too, just to be contrary.

When will the results be posted?

<Proofreader> |
Sorry. I just spent an hour looking for the original list of participants but it has disappeared. Every search was futile. No. 2 was the correct answer.

Well I sent 6 and 7. 7 because it was the definition for Cow Parsley and 6 (and another which went missing) because I was trying to think outside the box. The missing one would have been "a term used in some card games to indicate a hand with no scoring value". "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

I sent in #1. | |||
