I think it's hilarious sometimes the way that so many warnings on packaging state the obvious. Here are a few:

ACTUAL WARNINGS

On a Sears Hairdryer:
Do not use while sleeping.

On a bar of Dial Soap:
Directions: Use like regular soap

On Marks & Spencer bread pudding:
Product will be hot after heating.

On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
Do not iron clothes on body.

On a cardboard windshield sun shade:
"Warning: Do not drive with sun shield in place"

On a package of Fisherman's Friend(R) throat lozenges:
"Not meant as a substitute for human companionship."

On a Magic 8 Ball:
"Not advised for use as a home pregnancy test."

On a roll of Life Savers:
"Not for use as a flotation device."

On a disposable razor:
"Do not use this product during an earthquake."

On a Pentium chip:
"If this product exhibits errors, the manufacturer will replace it for a $2 shipping and a $3 handling charge, for a total of $4.97."

On a palm sander:
"Not to be used to sand palms"

On syrup of ipecac:
"Caution: May cause vomiting"

Since Dial spelt backwards is "Laid," it follows that its use may well assist in such matters.

If you suck those regularly, you'll need some substitute. Your friends won't want to go near you because of the smell. cool

On a Bobcat (small rubber tire tractor) they have all sorts of warnings and funny diagrams. My favorite was "Avoid Death". Hard to argue with that. Rob Riener and Mel Brooks did a little animated bit a few years back called "The 2000 year old Man". Mel, of course was the man of advanced years. One of his comments on his long life was that he avoided some things like the plague, like the plague.

I received a pair of plastic toy "Space Glasses" for giving a lecture (I carry a cardboard sign that says "Will lecture for toys"). They are big goggly things with amber lens that distort your peripheral vision. On the back is the notice "Warning: Not to be used for space travel."
