Question:
Rule 9. of the Bluffing Game Rules says:
quote:
It is not acceptable to look up the word, of course. However, you also are not allowed to use a dictionary in any way, even in refining your definition.

Some people have expressed the view that the use of dictionaries and other references should be allowed in refining the daffynition. What is the general view?

Choices:
Rule 9 is right. No dictionaries should be allowed.
Rule 9 is wrong and should be changed. Dictionaries should be allowed to be used in refining a daffynition.

...Of course you risk seeing something you oughtn't see if you're also going to submit a guess at the "right" entry. Caveat lector.
Let's not forget this is only a game, amd the purpose is to have fun!

I suppose you are right, Hab. Plus, we don't even keep score anymore. It really doesn't make that much difference. Besides, some of the most fun daffynitions are the ones that have been completely made up anyway. I remember Asa's great daffynition for "BOMA."

You mean the one about shaving the Colonel's posterior with Boma Shave?
