There has been a lot of discussion about transgender people of late. What to call them seems a topic of heated debate in some circles. Since "amphibian" means "double life" in its original Greek, shouldn't such people be called amphibians, thereby settling the issue? Or maybe amphigynes/amphiandros?This message has been edited. Wouldn't that more apply to hermaphrodites? I guess I haven't understood the whole language debacle with transgender people. Aren't they just men if they change to men, or vice versa? | |||
