The Washington Post asked its readers to improve upon the names of existing things: Tryst. New name: Randyvous. Mistake. New name: Hojeez. Halitosis. New name: Dreath. Ipecac. Actually, there is no better name.

Digressing for a moment. I got curious where the word "ipecac" came from, and discovered that it's from the Brazilian Tupi indians' word ipecacuana (1682), said to mean "small plant causing vomit." I'd known that English absorbs words omnivorously from many sources, but Tupi? A second time?

Lady Beth, do you have the link to the Washington Post Article? Were there other words given as part of the challenge, that we could try our hands at?
