The March 05 issue of National Geographic has a series of articles on brain development and research. One of the articles is about a woman who has suffered with Hypergraphia - the compulsion to write and write and write. It shows her in her shower stall (fully clothed, guys, sorry) with a wax pencil, the walls covered with writing (as are her scrubs and one of her arms). Any comments? ******* "Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions. ~Dalai Lama

This is a new one on me! I know that many writers/authors write almost compulsively (how else would they ever get published?), but this sounds more like a physical than a mental compulsion.
