We are taking care of our daughter's cat as she is out of town. This morning he knocked over a vase of flowers, which then fell and broke my plate we had bought in S. Korea - so there was quite a commotion! As I was cleaning up and none too happy with the cat, our dog was sitting smugly with an air of epicaricacy! I told my husband (Shu here, but he used to be be Hic too), and he reminded me of this stellar limerick he had posted here in 2004. It is fun, too, seeing some of the posters we used to have. I can't remember what happened to neveu, for example.

Well, heck. Not even a reply? Remember when epicaricacy was discussed in depth here? Here is a site talking about it that I hadn't seen before. They say one problem is that it is so hard to know how to pronounce. It never was for me; I always said, ep-i-CARE-ik-asee, or some such. Besides, most people, in the U.S. anyway, mispronounce Schadenfraude.
