Most US sitcoms are, when you remove all the advertising, around twenty two minutes per episode. In the UK we don't have anywhere near as much advertising and most of our sitcoms are around thirty minutes per episode. My question is what do the networks do about this when they show British imports? Do they edit the program to fit into the shorter time or do they show our thirty minute program in an hour slot? Or is there a third option that I haven't thought of? "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson. | ||
