Yeasts that are millions of years old? Amazing! If any place can do it, it's Dogfish Head. They make phenomenal beers.

I suppose it depends on how you define "old". As a species humans are about a million years old; as individuals few of us will see our one-hundredth birthday.

Similarly yeast, as a species inconceivably old but each cell living for just a few hours.

Too mush of that stuff makes one silly. For instance: I was in the pub yesterday when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to fart. The music was really, really loud, so I timed my farts with the beat. After a couple of songs, I started to feel better. I finished my pint and noticed that everybody was staring at me.
Then I suddenly remembered that I was listening to my iPod.

Like the old woman who went to the doctor and complained, "I have a real problem with passing gas. I do it constantly but luckily it is silent and not at all smelly."
The doctor nodded and said solemnly, "I want you to go to see Doctors Smith and Jones."
"OH, are they specialists who will stop my passing gas?"
"No, Dr. Jones will fix your sinuses and Dr. Smith will fit you with a hearing aid."
