<Proofreader>Which one?
I'm having a discussion about which of these two sentences is correct:
I have lactose intolerance
I am lactose intolerant
Any opinions?

I think both sentences are correct, except that the second one needs a hyphen: lactose-intolerant. I think the second one sounds better, too.

arnieI think the second, too, but if you said "I have
a lactose intolerance" the first would work.

<Proofreader>I saw this headline today:
MAN POUNDS ON COCKPIT DOOR; WRESTLED TO GROUNDShouldn't it be "Wrestled to floor"? After all, the ground was about 35,000 feet further down. Or was he and his grapplers tossed out the door?
Maybe he was severely ionized, and grounding him discharged him? But then most folks don't have the capacity to do that.

KallehI agree with Tinman, too, though not with the hyphen part.

Guy BarryKalleh's response baffled me until I realized that this thread consists of two separate topics, almost three months apart!
