I'm having a discussion about which of these two sentences is correct:
I have lactose intolerance
I am lactose intolerant
Any opinions? |

I think both sentences are correct, except that the second one needs a hyphen: lactose-intolerant. I think the second one sounds better, too. |

| I think the second, too, but if you said "I have a lactose intolerance" the first would work.

I saw this headline today: MAN POUNDS ON COCKPIT DOOR; WRESTLED TO GROUND
Shouldn't it be "Wrestled to floor"? After all, the ground was about 35,000 feet further down. Or was he and his grapplers tossed out the door? |
