Our daughter sent me this article about two men who live in southern Mexico and are the only fluent speakers of the "Zoque" language. This indigenous language is in danger of disappearing because these last two speakers are no longer speaking to each other.

I had no idea that Mexico is one country with the richest diversity of languages in the world...over 350 langauges.

Once a language is down to two speakers, it doesn't really matter if they talk to one another. Now if they were TXTing to kids in Zoque that might be another kettle of herring.
