Word Inventing Contest
Today Nathan Bierma writes about the August 2, 1998, Washington Post Style Invitational that asked readers to invent words. The winner was "sarchasm", entered by Tom Witte, which means "the gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the recipient who doesn't get it." Other winners included:

"inoculatte": "to take coffee intravenously when you are running late" (Chuck Smith)

"vaseball": "a game of catch played by children in the living room" (Russ Beland)

"intaxication": "euphoria at getting a refund from the IRS, which lasts until you realized it was your money to start with" (Greg Oetjen).

In looking up "sarchasm" in Google (70,000 hits) I found this site and this site with some funny unwords.
