As you probably heard, Molly Ivins died yesterday. I know that she is either loved or hated, depending on one's political persuasion. Yet, most have to admit that she could be quite funny. One critic called her barbs "well-informed potshots." Here are a few of her quotes:

Arnold Schwarzenegger - "a condom filled with walnuts"

Rush Limbaugh - his bite is "akin to being gummed by a newt - it leaves you with slimy stuff on your ankle."

Bill Clinton (she also got at the liberals) - of the Monica Lewinsky ordeal: Clinton was "weaker than bus-station chili."

Of the Texas legislature - "the finest free entertainment in Texas. Better than the zoo. Better than the circus."

I was surprised to hear that her father was a corporate attorney and a conservative Republican.

She made me laugh.
