It's that time again... There are some interesting ones. The Oxford word (?) of the year is the 'Face with Tears of Joy' emoji. That's almost as strange as Merriam Webster's "Ism." The only sane one of the bunch is "identity." | ||

You probably heard that the big Word of the Day - that from the American Dialect Society - was the singular "they." NPR has a nice analysis of how the singular "they" has been used for a long time and therefore this was a "belated recognition." | |||
