hardcopy, or rather hard copy? Or is either one permissible? This message has been edited. Last edited by: shufitz,
I believe it is hard copy, at least that's how I've always seen it. Geoff, I've not heard of soft copy, either, but apparently there is such a thing. It means information that is displayed on a screen and not printed on paper.
I am wondering if this is a regionalism or perhaps a technical/professional difference or just a difference. I've only heard files with documents called electronic copies. The next time I have to send someone an electronic copy I am going to call it a "soft copy" and see if they know what I mean.
Interesting, Proof. There are some good ones, like "worstest." Yes, I do believe we have the "worstest" president ever.
"Fatberg" seems pretty disgusting!
"Woke," "fake news" and "microagression" and "alt right" are pretty common now. Unfortunate for "fake news" being a part of our vernacular, but what are you going to do.
