The local PBS station seems to have made a radical change in the meaning of free. They announced they have "free Red Sox tickets" for those who pledge $150.

While the Red Sox may have donatedthe tickets for free, that is certainly not what the recipient gets them for.

Perhaps there's a new baseball team called the free Red Sox?

Well, you donate to NPR, and if you give that much, they'll send you the tickets. You could donate $150 and get nothing back. So they'd be free to me, but then, as you know, I am a literalist at heart.
