Can someone describe framing as a method of coersion in speech? Is it essentially an argument based on an invalid syllogism? It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. -J. Krishnamurti

an someone describe framing as a method of coersion in speech? Is it essentially an argument based on an invalid syllogism? As I understand framing (at least as popularized by George Lakoff), it means accepting the framework of your opponents argument. Their vocabulary, too. The home team always has the advantage. You could check out the Wikipedia article (link). —Ceci n'est pas un seing.
