I am just wondering. Do any of you use the word "Gimpel" from the Singer story? Shu and I use it every so often when referring to being a fool (i.e., "I am not a Gimpel after all!")

Nor I. Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Life's like that sometimes Kalleh. If only you had used it in the bluffing game you would have beaten arnie. For the record I've never heard of it either. "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

Is your Peace jeopardized by a gimpel? Good News! The cure is quite simpel. No need for appointment; Apply gimpelcide ointment Halfway from a wart to a pimpel. A gimpel's a sort of a blemish Often seen at affairs academish. The word comes from Flanders, Where gimpelled outlanders Speak a cant-pidgin patois of Flemish. This message has been edited.
