http://www.dictionaryofobscuresorrows.com/ Sounds like something from Borges, but it's an interesting if idiosyncratic compilation. Personal favorite - sonder. (Searched Wordcraft for the phrase but found nothings.) RJA

Interesting cognate. There is a German sense to sonder, meaning "special" (perhaps "apart?") in distinction to a French sense of "probe" (similar to the English "sound"). So perhaps both apply in the Obscure Sorrows sense of recognizing a different perspective RJA

Loved it, Robert! I can't imagine one word meaning so much, as with opia. By the way, welcome to our discussion board, AnWulf. I hope you will pull up a chair and stay awhile.
