This popped to mind from a post I was making in one of our other forums. Why is a sailor called a tar? What does his job have to do with the sticky substance? | ||

It's from Jack Tar, and I found this in Wikipedia--but also saw another ghit in which the summary said it had to do with sailors' being tar covered, but then you had to pay to read the rest of the article, so I didn't. Wordmatic | |||
