How come something can be far-fetched, but never fetched or near-fetched?

Dogs can look very fetching while they're playing fetch.

Hello Blues. So good to see you again!

Good point, CW. I doubt that anything is close-fetched, though. Wink

Ya know, I have some Corona beers in the fridge. They are Corona Extra's. They also sell Corona Light. I've never seen a Corona regular. Well, at least I feel gruntled and my hair is all kempt.

I just checked the online OED and Onelook for "chemical fizz," it's not in either. I think we should offer it as a term, and credit Richard with it. Wink

I'm amazed that it's not in any dictionary yet; it's a well-known term amongst beer drinkers. John Simpson, as we know, is a Real Ale drinker and he will surely have heard of it!
