<Proofreader>There's a word for everything
While perusing the Word List at OEDILF today I came across a word I never thought I'd see. It's "evaginate." See if you can figure what it means.

zmježd "evaginate"
I've heard of invaginate as in
enclose orturn inward. Not sure about
evaginate but it probably means something like the opposite. Latin
vagina means 'sheath' or 'scabbard'. It's a post-Roman medical term for the part of the female anatomy.

KallehYes, z. In medicine evagination means to the turning inside out or protrusion of a body part or organ.
