A while ago, Hab posted this Tom Lehrer song about the periodic table.

OEDILF has their own periodic table...in limerick form, of course. Big Grin

Then there is this one with verses and this one with haiku.

Enjoy!

Ah. Now I foresee a definite grammatical problem here. Almost the only thing that's going to work for most of these is an enclitic pronoun on the end of an adjective, and even if you can make that work the sameness is going to pall...

There once were some atoms, not many 'em,
But IUPAC doubted there were any 'em,
So they labelled it unununium,
Till Darmstadt said that's loony. Um,
Why don't we call it roentgenium?

Oy vey...as usual, aput sends me off to the dictionary! Wink

"Enclitic" is new to me, but I find its etymology interesting. Clitic is a word that can't stand on its own (like "'em"); it derives from the Greek word, meaning "to lean." How appropriate!

Hey, Aput, that's a nice limerick. They're awaiting your presence on OEDILF! Wink
